Kidrobot as you can see is the awesomest retailer and producer of designer toys which was found by Paul Budnitz in 2002.

Kidrobot also specializes in artist-created toys and imports from Japan, Hongkong and Europe.

They are also the one which created the "Munny" and "dunny" series which is their coolest,cutest and no. 1 best seller among their creations. These are soft vinyl figures which resemble cartoon animals based on urban graffiti and stencil art.

Kidrobot has also it's own website and retail stores that sells different apparels and limited edition toys for collector's in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Miami beach and Toronto, Canada.

Aside from designer toys and vinyl toys Kidrobot also produces t-shirts, hoodies, monogram bags and limited edition sneakers with the collaboration with different clothes company like Lacoste.

Chibi

These cute animations or small editions of your faorite animes are called "chibi"(禿び)which in Japanese means "a small person" or a "small child".

The term has gained currency amongst fans of anime and manga which originally came from the name "Chibiusa" who is the daughter of "Sailor Moon".

Chibiusa is also a small girl that brought the attention of the term.

Chibi is also sometimes called0 "super deformed" versions of cartoon characters or anime.

Made by an Italian artist named Simone Legno; Tokidoki is a

Japanese-inspired lifestyle brand which was created in the year 2005.

Tokidoki produces apparel, footwear, accessories and other products using iconic characters.

As tokidoki's 5th year approaches, this high-end urban underground fashion has grown to be a leading trend and has collaborated with several industries like Levi's and Lesportsac.

Simone Legno was discovered by the co-founder of "Hard Candy", Pooneh Mohajer and her husband Ivan Arnold on April 2003 when they saw Simone's personal portfolio website which was also included in the list of "The Independent's top websites of the week". Then the two made an arrangement meeting with Simone who later on joined them in Los Angeles to form the tokidoki business venture.

Simone Legno also has a big contribution to the vinyl toys industry because of his characters and toys. Here are some of his contributions:

Munny

It's the world's best "do-it-yourself" action figure in the universe made by "Kidrobot".
Since it's first release may has loved kidrobot because you can customize with your own personal touch with different types of pigments like markers and paints.
The very first edition of it is white which is the best for me and then followed by other colors like black, light blue, pink, phosphoroscent green until it came to the color red which is the latest edtion.
Munny has also different kinds of sizes. Here are some:

• Mini Munny-4" tall, has three different colors: light blue, pink and white, inside the box also contains a"My name is" sticker and a marker(released last february 2008)


• Mega Munny-18" tall, has three different colors: white, pink and yellow, included in the box are a practice sheet and a coloring book.


• Munny Zipper Pulls-the smallest of all, it has a clip on it's head to hold the zipper.also called the "blind asortment" because it has different kinds of accessories like banana.


• Mini Munny Mobile-a car that include a white mini munny, it can seat 1 mini munny, it also has rolling wheels and windshield.

These cute looking toys are called "mimobots"(mee-mo-bots)

  Well acutally this cute things are'nt really toys they are USB's with cute designs.


• a line of collectible designer toy Usb flash drives.

• Mimobots already contains and have been preloaded with orginal media content like music, video, animations, or games.


• Has a capacity of 1GB to 8GB.

Mimobots also has many different designs and versions customized by various people in the desighner toy's industry.

My most favorite of all the mimobots characters is "Vera" in the Core Series; Because it's so cute!!!

Huck Gee

While browsing some native delicacies here in the Philippines(like "puto")on Google.com I've seen a really cute and awesome image in the results and I used it as a primary photo on my accoutns on facebook, twitter, yahoo messenger and here in Blogger(the skull picture above)

These pictures and characters are called huck gee and created by Mark Gee who is a contemporary artist, illustrator, toy maker and desgner and well known by toy enthusiasts for his iconic "Skullhead" character.


Mark Gee calls his style "Bastardized Asian Pop Culture" which is influenced by Japanese and Hongkong pop art. He produces illustrations and custom figures and has released production toys through "Kidrobot"(producer and retailer of designer toys)


His other popular production besides the "Skullhead" are "hello my name is 8"(the one with the hello sign on it's head) which is a "Dunny" with the help of his friends: Paul Budnitz and Trisatn Eaton.
