These cute animations or small editions of your faorite animes are called "chibi"(禿び)which in Japanese means "a small person" or a "small child".The term has gained currency amongst fans of anime and manga which originally came from the name "Chibiusa" who is the daughter of "Sailor Moon".
Chibiusa is also a small girl that brought the attention of the term.
Chibi is also sometimes called0 "super deformed" versions of cartoon characters or anime.
